Zinc primer

Our “wet” department has the capacity to coat items with a primer that contains zinc. This process is typically chosen in cases where the product is subsequently to be painted with another product to give it its final protection and surface colour.

The zinc primer we use is a uni-primer supplied by Hempel, and we typically apply it in layers of up to 75 µ. The product is white and contains approximately 25 per cent zinc, which provides components with a good base protection for the subsequently applied coating.

In our cabins, we have the capacity to coat large items with zinc primer. Our sand-blasting and spraying cabins measure 3 x 3 x 15 metres.
